Pauline Dunn passed away peacefully on March 1, 2016 in North Vancouver, BC, with her three sons close by. Pauline is survived by her sons Gary (Joanna) and grandsons Michael and Bob, Keith (Nancy) and Jeff (Moire) and grandsons Robert and Andrew of Calgary, AB, nephew Don Dorst of Ontario, and friends Patty, Deb and her daughters Brittany and Brianna (who she thought of as grandaughters) and Lesley. She was predeceased by her husband Bob and his brothers and sisters, and her loving older brothers Gordon and Jack Dorst.
Pauline loved exploring in her car, her weaving and knitting, cross country skiing on Hollyburn, her friends at the YWCA, the Silver Harbour Senior’s Centre in North Vancouver and the outdoors. Seamen around the world wear her knitted caps she donated to the Seafarers Mission. She remembered her times in Calgary and Cheadle, AB, with her young family and good friends, as some of the best times of her life. When age made it too difficult to explore, she loved nothing more than watching young children in their strollers and dogs playing in the park.
In her later years, Pauline resided at the Kiwanis Care Centre in North Vancouver. Special thanks to Karen and the rest of the staff of whom there are too many to mention (you know who you are). You made such a big difference to Pauline’s quality of life and we are very grateful for your support and caring.
Pauline will be deeply missed.
